Ledent was born on the 23rd of October in 1952. Pol is a self-taught
Belgian painter that started his activity with a couple of watercolors in
1990, passing to the oil techinique just in 1995.Generally his preferred subjects are the landscapes, the wonderful landscapes of his country, i.e. the Ardennes, the region in the south of Belgium where Pol is living. The success of Pol came from his landscaped predisposition, where warm colors wisely mixed by him have being apreciated from Orient to Occident. His activity of landscape painter starts with a series of collective exhibitions, where he meets the success firstly. Then, in 1999, a gallery's owner noticed his works and told him that his works would have been sold if exposed. This is the Rochehaut's Exposition, in the Belgian Ardennes, the beginning of the career landscape painter Pol Ledent.
