| Barbara Jaccod's biography
 “Everything is in nature reveals the essence of life and makes vibrate the deeperest chords of my heart”.
Barbara Jaccod Barbara Jaccod was born on March 13th, in 1976, in Aoste, where she currently resides and works as an elementary teacher. Always attracted by shapes and colors, she starts to attend, from the age of 22 years, the lessons of painting of the master Gabriele Girardi and she approaches to the oil painting and chiaroscuro techniques. At the Accademia Albertina in Turin she attends courses about life drawing and studies art history, appreciating the masterpieces of the great exponents of seventeenth century Naturalism such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Vermeer. Her subjects so are still lifes, flowers, landscapes and figures, interpreted with an almost seventeenth-century Naturalism and with a certain romantic vision.
